"PAINTING VS PHOTOGRAPHY

Patricia Vasquez                                             May,3,2013

Art blog #6

I believe photography gives more life to the painting, making it look more realistic
Also I believe that the photograph the colors the landscape looks brighter. The
Photography is the art of practice of taking and processing photographs. While
On the other hand painting is  the process or art using paint either in a picture
Or as a decoration. Perhaps  another reason why I think it did change the way
People think about painting is because photographs are amazing  through them
We can preserve history, for example when one have kids you can keep their first
Steps , another one may be a decaying landscape or some animal portrait ,etc.
It help people understand painting because they seen to different part of view the
one of the photographer and the one of the artist. Also painting can record
records events capture things like the likeness of a person and object or thing.
Photography was first use in 1839. I also believe that painting had a huge impact
On photography. Paintings play a major role on the importance of photography
because photographers are influenced to include details of the painting in their
work in a unique way.                                                                                                                                                                                          Eugene Delacroix
                                                                                       "Massacre at chias"
                                                                                         Oil on canvas
                                                                                          1822-1824

“Baroque Impact on Japan”

Patricia Vasquez                                  04-28-2013

Art11 #7

Baroque art which is an artistic style from the 16th century to the early 18th. The word baroque

which is a style of ornamentation that is curve rather than straight. This is a design style that

uses classical  elements  in nonclassicals ways. They have learn a lot because they use different

style for example the clothing their unique way. Another example maybe such as Japanese

punks .inspired byt the punk movement that began in London in the 70s.

magnify rebelliousness with over the top clothes, accessories, makeup, and piercing. Japanese

community are very accurate when showing there styles. For example they have the style of

gyaru which is a way of being modern popular and a form of mainstream and self expression.

Also they have the style of bibinda form of gyaru which is features gold and heavy jewelry.

Japanese people also have the sweet Lolita which is heavily influenced by victorian edwardia an

Styles , using lighter colors and mimics childrens clothing. Japanese people also have tha style

Of wat Lolita  which combines traditional  Japanese clothing and elements of Lolita fashion.

They have also the visual kei which happen in the 1980s this was the rebellion against gendered

Clothing and norms ,the questioning authority and the heavy involvement with metal music.

In clonclusion I believe tha Japanese culture is very unique and they are very artistic and follow

A lot of wat today is the style in anyways.

arches

One of the buildings that show how elements of gothic style envolved

From Romanesque precursors is the abbey church of saint-etienne at

caen. In gothic architecture the rib vault replaces the earlier barrel

vaults of Romanesque. In Romanesque archictecture thick walls

performed the fuction of buttressing ,also an inference may be the

pointed arches, which is a .characteristic and essential feature of gothic

architecture. It also can be said as the intersection of two arcs of

nonconcentric circles. Examples  are found in Romanesque buldings,

but in a much more tentative form. The  sculptural decoration of

Romanesque architecture, like mural and manuscript painting

Continues the medieval taste for flat space inorganic figures

And lively decorative stylization at the beginning of the late 20th century

Gothic architects would expand the scale of the cathedrals. In

Conclusion I stongly believe that theres similarities among the

Romanesque and gothic arch because of their sculpturing painting and

Architectural they both very splendid.

ancient greece

Art 11 blog # 4

Based on what I have read and my knowledge of greek art versus

Egyptians art I believe that the greeks probably believed that they were

the inventors of theatre while on did other hand we had the Egyptians

who did not construct special venues for their plays. I believe street art

is something that yeat motivates us today  specifically visual art

developed in public places. I also believe art when it comes to

educational things as well as when it comes to drawing you have to be

creative.

Art as urban art or graffiti which is everywhere. Art is reflected in many

ways can be in history or cultures wise. I believe art is more about

perception and transformation. Ancient poetry and sculpture is another

way. The arts of ancient Greece have exercised and enormous influence

on the culture of many countries all over the world.

portrait drawing

What I was trying to captured in the drawing was the fact of if I did what I was actually asked for which was been able to draw a women. with the face been able to see the eyes the ears the lines been able to identify the noise which was kind of difficult due to the fact that was not properly draw. I also try to find the mouth there was no way I could find it it was barely see tru. I see the women in the picture is wearing earings. The eyebrows which was actually not hard to indentify it was easy in the matter of that I did got to realize what the drawing was but hard in the way that certain things that I was looking didn’t found it at all.  In conclusion you could definetly identify what  is in the drawing.
